StyledMapPane will be refactored in ext/go module as a GO-1 compliant renderer
(GO-1 is an OGC
specification). The work is in progress, but I can commit a date. I'm already
very late compared to
the date I originally said.
In the main time, StyledMapPane has been removed because it relied on
deprecated Geotools classes,
and keepind StyledMapPane was preventing us from removing the deprecated
classes (and consequently
cleanup a little bit the already complicated Geotools library).
I hope to work on the GO-1 renderer this October. But one years ago, I told to
the mailing list that
I was hopping to work on the GO-1 renderer last April, and it didn't happened.
I had a hard time to
find the requested time, but this GO-1 renderer still a hight priority for me
(I need it for my own
project).
