I think that is just it, I am asking if it is possible for you to make the
change to geotools :-)
The library would appreciate someone doing this work; rather than watching a
couple of different teams a year do the work in isolation.
This users list is the start of collaboration (and cutting down on people
solving the same problem multiple times).
