Hi Cameron, The Map Rectifier on labs.metacarta.com uses a bunch of open source tools, most notably GDAL and OpenLayers. The new code is mostly glue.
GDAL team: thank you! We're considering making a larger service out of this and are figuring out what parts to open source. If you or anyone else has a *particular* use or interest that would be served by open sourcing the integration code, we'd love to hear about it.
