Could gerbils bite out of loneliness and/or not enough to chew or
stimulation?  My pied black female that attacked and killed my little black
male has started biting me.  I put some apple twigs in the cage and she has
been chewing them non-stop, and not nipping at me.  Could this be why she is
starting to bite?
