what can be done to help a gerb that appears to be paralyzed from the
"waist" down? I am having to help her urinate by gently squeezing her
bladder because she has no muscular control in the lower half of her body.
I caught her yesterday laying on her side, kicking her hind legs wildly, so
I picked her up and tried to keep her still and calm her down, then when I
put her back in her cage, she was dragging herself around by her front paws.
My guess would be that possibly in her kicking fit, she may have broken her
back or something? Can she recover? I had another youngster do this a
couple months ago, but she died within half an hour, so far, I haven't lost
this one, so I'm hoping I can nurse her back to health, but I need help
knowing how to help her.
