OK, my gerbil has a litter of 2 day old pups, yesterday when I went to check
on her (and her pups) all the pups were on the opposite side of the tank
(from where the nest was), they were scattered all over the place while the
Mom dug in her corner! After she was done with her digging she picked up the
babies and put them back (in the nest), ummmm, why do you guys think she did
this?
Oh yeah, also last night I noticed a missing baby, I checked all over and
tried to find it. I dug in a corner about a foot from the Original nest, I
found one hungry little pup (it was the pup with the bubble nose), I put it
back in with the others, do you guys think the baby just crawled out of the
nest (they are REALLY active, even at day 2), do you think the Mom put it
there and forgot about it, do you think the dad stole a pup and wanted to sit
on it, but then forgot about it, or do you guys think something else?
