Hi Mary, it is normal for a mother to dig and primp and to move the pups around
to different nests. I also did have the experience with dad taking a pup off to
his nest (around 7 days) they all started sleeping in one nest.
I would continue to check and make sure the pups are together in a nest. With
two pups, especially in the early pre-fuzz days maintaining body heat is a huge
issue. I'd suggest that you keep the tank super warm for this first week, say
mid-80 degrees (but not too hot). Use a thermometer to make sure the temperature
is controlled.
Good luck to you and your two little pups -- Donna A.
