Baby gerbils are very tough and can take being kicked around the tank by a
burrowing parent. Since there are only 2 I would make sure they are growing
and eating since the mothers milk production is stimulated by nursing pups,
if you see that they are not doing well you could foster them to a mom with
babies about the same age.
