I took Boaz out of the tank. When I check the pups just now they were
spread over the tank. Some in one corner in the nest, a couple in another
corner with nothing, and two lying in the middle of the tank. They are all
still alive, but I'm not sure how long they will last.

My daughter and I were concerned because Boaz kept disrupting the nest, and
harassing Shushan.
I am hoping that she will be more attentive to the pups with him out. I am
concerned about how I will get them back together. Can they be reunited
after a week or two? I assume that I would have to use the split cage
again.

I did put all of the pups back into the nest. I like nice little litters!
I'm just not cut out for these huge ones. Two of the pups that I had to
move was noticeably smaller than the rest. I'm not sure if they will make
it, well then again, I'm not sure if any of them will make it.

Hi Janet,

I would put Boaz back with Sushan. I think it would be more stressful for
her if he isn't with her. The fathers are a big help at raising the pups.

Yes, it looks horrible to see the tiny pups scattered around and the parents
stepping on them,, but the pups are more hardy than what seems possible. It
is ok to move them back to their nest when they are scattered.

When Shushan gets tired of Boaz bugging her, she will let him know it! Just
relax,, things will work out for the best.

It is also common to have pups of various sizes in a big litter. My litter
of ten has several tiny ones, plus several good size pups. Again,, just
relax and let nature take its course. Things can go both ways no matter what
you do, all 7 pups will probably make it, and then some may not. Of course
we want all of them to survive. Sometimes I think trying to do to much does
more harm than good.

Again relax,,, it's possible that Shushan and Boaz sense that you are very
nervous and this could be affecting them.

good luck , and again relax,, ;o)
