I once bought a sewing machine and table through ebay. It was an older
sewing machine, so the base of it was heavy cast iron. When it arrived,
the base was literally broken in half. The only thing we can figure is it
didn't get properly secured and flew across a plane or truck and hit heard
during transportation.
It's a bit scary.
