The local grammar school is having it's yearly science fair. Some of the
children that have adopted gerbils would like to base their projects on them.
The school is only K-5, so the projects need to be kept simple, and only the
kids in the fifth grade are required to show different variables. Does
anyone have any ideas? It need only answer a simple question and formulate a
simple hypothesis. This may be more difficult for the 5th graders. unless
someone has ideas involving different variables.
I would really appreciate any input. I have been very careful about
screening the children who get to adopt, so we are talking about kids who
have been very responsible with their pets. You should see the joy the
gerbils bring. We are in the city and many of the children have never had a
pet. And even the ones that just see the gerbils in the classroom, enjoy
them so very much.
Ideas anyone???
