Most of mine jump. I don't mind in the slightest, most of the time they
jump straight at me when I take the lid off, otherwise they teeter on the
top and wait for me to grab them. I think it's cute. :) Occasionally one
will miss and land on the floor but it isn't hard for me to grab them. That
doesn't happen very often. I guess it depends on the gerbils.
