Give them a dish of it for about 20-30 minutes once a week. Then
remove it, as they often use it for a toilet after that.
I usually give a dish of it to a tank before I do the weekly cleaning
and bedding change; as they will get it ALL OVER; and after
they're done I can clean it up.
Yes, it does help with grooming and great looking gerbils.
They seem to eat some of it, but small amounts won't hurt
and will pass through. I limit the exposure to help avoid
great amounts being eaten....
