What country are you in?
As has been pointed out on this list many times, it is illegal to ship via United
States Postal Service. UPS will not ship them, either. The only way seems to be by
charter airplane, which is very expensive. It is unfortunate, but there is
currently no legal way to ship gerbils in the U.S. that doesn't cost an arm and a leg
(commercial breeders can do it because they ship in large quantities which makes the
cost much more reasonable).
