Hi Erica,
my gerbils *love* pumpkin seeds, even more than sunflower seeds (... well,
just as much anyways). I'm pretty sure they're fine for a gerbil, but, like
sunflower seeds, they are higher in fat and should only be given in
moderation. Because of this, you can pick some of them out and use them as
treats!
I really find that it's a pain to pick out all the sunflower seeds from my
seed mix. Does anyone use a healthy feed mix that doesn't require any
picking out? It would save a lot of hassle! =)
