You can name all his descendents after him . For example if his name was Gerry. The Gerry clan would be the name. Some people use their names, yours could be The MSF clan/colony/burrow or Sharon's Gerry gerbil. Another way is "Diggy son of Gerry". Mine are called G's. My gerbil Nimbus was registered with the Gerbil club of Missouri as "Nimbus the Rain cloud. Spotty was registered as G's Spotty Son of Oreo. Names don't always have to use the "Clan" word. Is also fun to name family lines with the same theme. I named similar colors within the G line with the same themes. My Black pieds were named Oreo,Oreo2, Nabisco,Keebler,Cookie, and Wafer.April was the only exception. My Red foxes were orange so they were Sunkist, Tangerine and Orangina. Lilac pied was Nimbus.
