I have come home for the past two days only to find that my plastic hamster cages and the little plastic house inside (as well as my gerbil aquarium with a lid) has fog in it and little droplets of water along the sides. I guess this is humidity...but any suggestions on what to do about it? I am using wood shavings right now. My mother says it's because it gets hot in the house and any moisture in the cage will evaporate to the sides of the cages. She's probably right, but what should I do? Also, I cleaned their cages about 3 days ago and today when I re-cleaned them, there was already mold (or something) growing in the bottom of the cage in some places. That never happens! Argh....if you have any suggestions, please email me.
