Maybe you can add aspen to the cage to dilute the pine.     As for the bedding, I am using pine, but I have heard this is bad.  I wanted to change the cage, because of the urine smell. I heard this is also bad for their respiratory system.  The cage is metal wired, not an aquarium.  Well I will try adding some more pine tonight, and see if that helps, because a lot of it has been kicked out the cage through the wires.  Thanks so much!
