Hello all,
There's one other change I'd like to propose to the GUI. Currently, the "open" button on the toolbar tries to open a gerbv project file. However, I would imagine users are opening "layers" much more than they are opening "projects". I frequently find myself using the open button to try and open a RS274X file, only to have gerbv barf because it's not a project file. My proposal: switch the action for the "open" button to open a layer, and NOT a project file. Also, I propose reordering the file menu layout so that the "layer" open/save/export options are ABOVE the project open/save options. The thinking is that the more common operations should be closer to the top of the menu.

Anyone for or against this proposal?
Cheers--
Julian

if it will... it shouldnt be the default mode in everything != WIN32
imho. :)

on the search for the reason why it defaults to "fast" on my machine i
also noticed a bug in the contribution i made before and some use of
magical numbers...
