i dont use the toolbar at all so i dont really care, but i agree with
what you said about overwriting. otoh ctrl+s is mapped to save the
current layer (due to one of my patches) and i presume even more people
would use that unintentionally... :/
best thing would be to make the toolbar customizable and remove the
save button from the default :P
