that was the reason i have chosen ctrl+o to open gerbers and not
projects. ;)

there is a problem with the this:
the open button is surrounded by "project actions":
new, (open), revert, save project
new and revert arent that important, but the save project button should
either be changed to save the current layer or be more separated (i.e.
separator between revert and save project) imho.
