Well, there aren't OTHERS! All the flavours of the hls tvmodes (hldhd,
hlsvhigh, hlshigh, hlsstd, hlslow) are hosted/streamed on the same Akamai
CDN, whose hostname is:
"cp401489-vh.akamaihd.net"
(supplier="akamai_hls_open")
Also the hls tvmodes are only listed as hlshd1, hlsvhigh1, hlshigh1,
hlsstd1, hlslow1
The first Segment not found error reported here was
Forces of Nature with Brian Cox episode 3 The Moth and the Flame (b07l1zvw)
It was broadcast on Monday 18 July 2016 at 2100. I downloaded the HLSHD
mode about an hour after broadcast having seen a report here. There was
some suggestion that the FlashHD mode was also being truncated at the point
of the Segment not found error, but I can't comment on that. I successfully
downloaded the FlashHD mode on the Thursday, and at that time there was
still a Segment not found error in the HLSHD mode. The error had been
corrected by the following Monday, a week after broadcast.
I am not sure what Jim means by not a loading problem. The repeatability of
the errors and the fact that they get corrected some time afterwards suggest
that the problem is at the BBC's end. Whatever the problem is, it is
getting worse.
