ezmlm allows anything you like.
I have always set mailing lists to 'only members can post', another anti-spam
measure which is why my lists haven't had spam to date.
In addition, I can add users with a 'post only' address if they wish to
post from other locations.

You did, I replied asking you a question. You replied with a mail stating
"if you unblock my relay (mail.gmx.net)".
I looked up the IP and unblocked it, then...nothing.
Until today.
If you bothered to respond earlier that it still wasn't working, I would have
figured the problem out earlier.
