I see the benefits, but our problem is not of a technical nature. It is
a problem of motivation.
CVS works fine for me and others. If it works fine, don't touch it.
Same for the web. I think the infrastructure is o.k.
Changing it, just because everybody goes to sourceforge doesn't seem to
make sense to me. Creates quite some work (our web and ftp setup is
nontrivial - see below) for not much gain.

I'd leave that to a separate effort. O.K. - it would give a goal - granted.
But I wonder how we could pursue such a high-flying goal, when we are not
even able to do some very basic grunt-work on our own library.
If you would like to see GTK-on-GGI happen: Fine. Open a sourceforge project
for it and hack away. If that draws us more people hacking GGI - fine.
But again - putting work in "nice to have" stuff when we can't even lift our
asses to do some "must be done" jobs isn't a good idea IMHO.
Don't get me wrong: I don't want to put your ideas down - they have their
merit, but I don't think it solves the problem. The problem is mental
lethargy.

I accept you for proposition 2. This is something we definitely _want_.
I'm not sure if we have the ressources to _do_ it, but if you can raise
them: PERFECT.
I will personally assist you and your crew on all LibG** issues that arise
with that task.
> I am certainly not the most competent or experienced programmer here

Time is the most important thing. My value is currently limited, because I
have virtually no time. I may know most parts of LibGGI by heart, but that
doesn't gain anything, as I have no time to make use of it.
Go for it. Time is what we need here !

I'm pretty sure you have, then. I had difficulties to even grasp the
special relativity principles ...
