I understand that you mostly work on sth. else and so think that no further explicit 'locking' of the source code is necessary to avoid duplication of efforts. As for svgalib4libggi, i did not yet apply officially for ggi maintainership, but am very interested and busily hacking on it. Plan is to make it a functional replacement for svgalib while at the same time it should be easy to have them both installed on the same machine and decide as late as possible which one to use.
