If you're using the unstable version of the Gimp, try using Image |
Colors | Colormap rotation.  It allows you to select a range of colors
from a color wheel and transform just thost colors to another range of
colors from a color wheel.  It an amazing tool.  IF you're not using
the unstable version -- get ready, it's great.
