I am new also. I think what you mean is you want to look at the previous version. This is something I wonder also. The only method I see so far is to checkout the previous version. Then you just open it in your work space. Then you can checkout the HEAD to get back to the latest version you were on. Yes, that seems like a lot of work. It would be a little more convenient if you could checkout to a temporary file and then somehow discard the checkout.
