I use an obscure programming language and I want add syntax highlighting for it to Geany, but I'm a bit confused by the docs of what I need and where to put it.
Here is my install: /usr/share/geany: colorschemes/ templates/ geany-3.20.css snippets.conf filedefs/ filetype_extensions.conf geany.css ui_toolbar.xml tags/ geany-3.0.css geany.glade ~/.config/geany/filedefs: filetypes.python filetypes.README Do I need a filedef in /usr/share/geany/filedefs/, or in ~/.config/geany/filedefs/ ?
