yes if you abstract away into the helper `Vec` but then the checks for blocked or flat are much more frequent than per batch - e.g. check every row when calling `get`/`get_unchecked` and while this will be predicted almost perfectly the added condition can get in the way of the compiler optimizations -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
