There are two ways you can resolve this using github:

1) since you already have the ruby koans repo locally, you can set up a new 
public project on github, and then follow the instructions for adding an 
existing local project. 

Note that to remove the original "origin" remote you'll need to run git remote 
rm origin - this will let you add your own github project as the "origin" 
remote. 

2) From the ruby koans project page on github you can fork the project - after 
you've done that, you can then clone your copy from Github to your computer. 


It's important to note that you'll see the whole history of the repository up 
to the point of your last checkout - so at first it'll seem like you're working 
on someone else's code, but rest assured that all the changes you make will be 
yours only.
