The only way to go seems to be to reinstate the Haskell 98 behaviour, on
grounds of consistency with the way infix constructors are shown, and
discuss again for Haskell'. Any objections?
FWIW, I still think that putting spaces after commas in `show` would be
wrong. But I refuse to spend any longer arguing about whitespace :-)
