I've only ordered from Zenni, for myself and my son, both regular and sunglasses. All my orders were received within a reasonable time. I didn't pay attention to dates, but I think I got them all in about three weeks.
All the prescriptions seem fine. I can see perfectly well with all of them. Only problems I've had are that two pair, both plastic or acetate or whatever, arrived slightly askew. I have heard that I can take them to an eyeglass shop and get them straightened out, but I have been putting that off since I don't want to explain it to the eyeglass shop people. Both were inexpensive, so I didn't bother to contact Zenni about it. Both pair seem like they would be fine if I would get them straightened a bit (one side is higher than the other). This could even be due to our postperson trying to cram the Zenni envelope through the mail slot, which is too narrow to fit the cases. The only glasses from Zenni that I feel were totally wrong were a pair that I got because the frames were polka-dotted (cool! polka-dotted glasses!). They are totally unwearable. They sit on my nose oddly, more like reading glasses than regular glasses. My view of Zenni is that you pays your money and you takes your chance. Personally, I think it's fun, but I can see how it might be irritating if you want to have more control over your glasses-ordering experience. I don't like in-person shopping, either, which is probably another reason I like Zenni. I'd get my hair cut over the internet if I could. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://www.glassyeyes.com!
