J Evan, at this strength you will benefit from an aspheric lens design, Seiko, Nikon and Essilor all have a good reputation in this space. Strong lenses have a relatively small sweet spot (relative to lenses with powers under 3), this implies that they need to be accurately placed in front of your pupil. Progressive lens wearers present the same challenge. If you check out our site (uk.netbriller.com) we can supply a Essilor 1.67. We can supply Seiko as well if you request it. For high power lenses and progressive lenses we send the frame out to you and ask you to photograph your self wearing it. Then return the frame for glazing and we'll use the photo to ensure that the lenses are placed accurately. We've been following this practice for 2 years now and have had only 1 pair of progressive glasses rejected.
Hope this helps, James On Dec 11, 2:31 am, Paul <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > This discussion is pretty relevant: > > http://www.optiboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9601 > > Buried in there is mention of Nikon, Essilor, Seiko, and Zeiss 1.67 > lenses. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://www.glassyeyes.com!
