I'm sorry,I just found answers to some of my questions.

In one of the treads a participant gave a link to a site with a
calculator of thickness.
This one : http://opticampus.com/tools/thickness.php

There is a lot of lenses...

In this same site I found this too:
http://opticampus.com/tools/materials.php
                                   Refraction Abbe Specific UVB/
UVA
                                    index value Gravity
Protection
CR-39® Hard Resin 1.499 58 1.32 100% / 90%
Polycarbonate 1.586 30 1.20 100% / 100%
MR-6 1.6 Plastic 1.595 36 1.34 100% / 100%
MR-8 1.6 Plastic 1.592 41 1.30 100% / 100%
MR-7 1.67 Plastic 1.658 32 1.35 100% / 100%
MR-10 1.67 Plastic 1.661 32 1.37 100% / 100%
MR-174 1.74 Plastic 1.732 33 1.47 100% / 100%

What I understood (between the two pages) is that for my right eye the
thickness go between 6.7 with hard resin(wich is apparently cr-39 as
per the second page)and 4.9 with 1.67 mr-7.Mid index 1.56 would be 5.6

For my left eye 6.2 for hard resin ,5.2 with mid index(1.56) and 4.6
with 1.67 mr-7.

Sooo...If I'm not completely hopeless it would means that mid index
would be better,but cr-39 not that bad,1.67 the safe bet.I'm I right?I
checked my old lenses, they are around 5 mm thick at the temple..I'm
fine with that.With either,in fact.

Ira,I know from your blog that your vision is about the same as
mine. And I know you purchased a few times CR-39 lenses and you were
happy.Would you still do the same today?Someone else have the same
vision as me and tested a few lenses?

Question number one answered :)

Question number 2 too, since the chart give the UV protection.

Butt I add another one^^

Is tinting possible for each kind of lenses?Looks like it,but I would
love to be sure.
