Chuck,

optiboard is useless as it requires to register to get access to that
calculator (typical for optical "professionals" whom try to hold all
info for themselevs to corner the market! ... :-). So I found one
which is freely available without such:
http://www.opticampus.com/tools/thickness.php

You need fill in the dimensions of your glasses as well as
perscription and material. Note that the Poly used by Zeni is already
quite high index at 1.57 vs. the regular CR-39 which is only 1.49.

Saint,

Looks to me you may have just wasted your money to go to 1.67 as you
don't have that such number. You can try using the above calculator to
check the exact thickness difference in your case. Do not believe
marketing pitches optical shops, and sometime Zenni may try on you
(they did try on me, with a perscirption around +6.5 and I told them
no thanks, I want actually the poly material for its strenght so they
just did it and it came fine with the standard 1.57 poly lens, thinner
than the usual CR-39). Now the optics is different and there are
various opinions on what is better, also actually Poly is cheaper to
make as it is made from palets of plastics that are injected molded
into a mold. Anyway, poly also naturally blocks UV light etc etc

Now I did try the above calculator with your perscirption for the
right eye. The thickness with the 1.67 comes to: 1.6mm in the center
and 5.6mm at the edges. With the poly its 1.5mm center and 6.1mm
edges, not even 1mm difference at the edges (actually just 0,5mm diff
for edges and 0.1mm diff for the center...!). So I'm sorry to suggest
that you may have lost your money (don't know if you were asked by
Zenni to order in 1.67 in which case this is not right for your case
or if it was you whom decided such on your own.. in which case.. its
OK the sales pitch from the B&M stores kept working on you...).

I will post above reference of the calculator on a separate thread for
all to enjoy.

Cheers!

Cheap
