UPDATE: I returned the glasses to Optical4Less and they tell me that the prescription is correct and that they don't believe the bridge of the frame would negatively impact my vision. Of course they recommend a fresh check up which I'm going to have to do, but that doesn't explain why I can see just fine through the glasses I'm wearing now.
Frankly, I'm bitterly disappointed. This is my third attempt to buy glasses online, only one of which was successful. My final advice to anyone with a high prescription like mine is to bite the bullet and pay the higher fees. Once you've ordered the 200.00 plus lenses, you're stuck with them, which would not be the case if you went through a commercial place. To add insult to injury, in order to get my useless glasses back, I have to pay another 8.00 shipping fee. I only want them back to have an place of my own confirm that the lenses match the prescription. With shipping now I've paid over 300.00 for this debacle. -- Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
