This piece has some very old references. In one section, Lindzen
claims that the CO2 concentration is 355 ppmv when it's now closer to
380(?). He writes "Most recently, I testified at a Senate hearing
conducted by Sen. Gore.". He also wrote: "The notion of "scientific
unanimity'' is currently intimately tied to the Working Group I report
of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued in September
1990."

There's a reference to Robert White as CURRENTLY president of the NAE.
Turhs out, Dr. White was President of the National Academy of
Engineering from 1983 to 1995, according to one web hit.

I found a version of this piece dated in 2002 on Lindzen's web site.

Lindzen apparently has recycled some of his old stuff. Does he get
paid for this sloppy work or is the CATO Institute the recycler??
