I agree that a properly threaded nntp/email system (like this) is far
preferable to the typical unthreaded web-based blog comment system.
That's part of our justification for setting this up in the first place.
But the proof of the pudding depends largely on users voting with
their feet! Certainly many of the contributions posted on RC would be
welcome here. Note also that the remit of this group is deliberately
rather broader than the pure climate science that RC claims to restrict
itself to (with limited success IMO).
