This surely occured. I'm having some difficulty seeing how this
immediately caused both Central Greenland temperatures to fall 3 K and
the same value for tropical sea surface temperatures. THe super-
eruption of Kurile Lake and several other vocanoes at about the same
time offers some explanation for both the drop and the rapid, but no
super-rapid recovery.
>From NGISP data we know the dust and aeorsols were wide spread. The
combination of several volcanoes plus THC change might well best
explain to total effect, as its temperature profile does not look much
like a junior version of Younger Dryas.
