Markets have discounted ‘terrible’ earnings: Barton Biggs

Global markets saw a mild jerk over the last 24 hours– is that something
meaningful or is it just some profit taking? Barton Biggs, Managing Partner,
Traxis Partners, believes that markets may pause for a while before the trading
rally continues. According to him, markets have discounted ‘terrible’ earnings

Jonathan Garner, Head-EM Strategy, Morgan Stanley said emerging markets will
trough before developed markets. He feels that global markets are not out of
the woods yet. However, he added that risk appetite has returned post March and
that markets can move up further.

Indian indices opened lower on weak global clues but on rally it outperformed
the whole world. This was fifth consecutive positive closing for markets. This
rally helped market to touch and close, to highest level of more than 5 months.

Indian market witnessed a amazing rally in last 4 days, on the back of positive
global situation. Sensex closed above 186 points and nifty rallied for 46
points on Monday.
Last night US market ended in loss with more than 2%, this was second
consecutive negative close for them. Euro range is also not helping [...]
