True enough, Greg. But not the whole story.
The rest of the story is that if you set up the
Ercoupe on the down wind, you cannot buy a
bad landing. With the 150, you can snooze
on down wind as long as you wake up enough
to put in the Carb Heat. Base can be forgotten.
When you get the 150 on final and see where
you are, you can add flaps, slip, slide or even
go around if it looks dicey. You have all that
available.
But not in the `coupe. The best `coupe
landing beats the best 150 landing. And a
good 150 landing comes far fewer and
further between. Good `coupe landings are
so common that even an old geezer like me
pulls `em off. And I owned a Cessna 150
for 14 years.
