Hello, The Continental book says that the engines with the stromberg carb does not have an idle cutoff. The procedure for shut down is to turn off the mags and on the last few revolutions of the prop open the throttle. If you shut off the gas to the carb the engine will stop with in a minute or so but you leave the float bowl of the carb empty and a good place to collect water. Turn off the mags and open the throttle. Gene '36H ================================================================== TO UNSUBSCRIBE go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
