Hi all,

My coupes aileron play is at the maximum 5/16 of an inch.. I plan to get
it
fixed sometime in the near future. But in the mean time, or even after I
get it fixed, I'm going to say away from 140mph.. I know they figure in a
decent margin of error on the red line of 144mph, but just too many
variables involved.. airspeed indicator calibrated? What if it suddenly
becomes choppy? Old fatigued metal?

If someone is getting flutter in normal operating speeds it should
probably
be fixed right away.. But if it only happens up at 140mph.. Just slow
down.. Ed Burkhead made a great point... If you do start to get a
buffet,
immediately load the ailerons with a gentle turn and slow down...

Happy and safe flying,,
Dan
