Folks.
whether it is 3/16 or 5/16 or 7/16 of an inch of play allowed in the
controls,
I don't like the play I see on my plane and want to have it fixed.
Just befor my last annual I noticed my outer right aileron peacefully
fluttering all the time while cruising! I did not liked the picture and a
brief check after flight showed the outer hinge good looking, but worn
out.
We replaced it this annual and no flutter there anymore.

I flew ones or twice above redline. I can not report aileron flutter.
(This
is  with the play at or above its limits). But I can report that from a
certain speed on anything on your plane can start fluttering around. Seems
like the slide windows are most willing to flutter first....
