I am incredibly cautious about who I will take up, not so much because of the impact on me, but because if I take someone up, and both of us are killed, the PX's heirs could sue my survivors. Now, I have an incredibly patient non-flying husband and an eight year old daughter. I think it would be irresponsible and grossly self-centered of me to ask Ted & Gracie to accept the risk of financial ruin because I want to take riders. So I take only very close family and friends. Now, when Gracie's grown and on her own, and Ted and I are older, I will probably be more inclined to take folks up.
