I'm standing by what I said, Greg. Not to invalidate your points, but I
feel that
there is just too much variability between persons to use a simple number
as
a criterion. Remember, I flew from Roswell to Terrell for the 2001
Ercoupe
Owners Club annual meeting with Opal Walker. Opal had truned 90 the
previous April. And this year, Opal flew all the way to Michigan! Think
about it.

I am, however, granting your point. Letting persons with just a drivers
license
fly does sound dumb in light of what people do with their cars. The
penultimate
case I heard of was a woman who ran over another person in a bus
stop. Killed `em.
This was the second time the woman had hit the bus stop. And the second
person
she nailed! This was in Florida, where any elected official who advocates

age limits
for driving will probably be walking the streets after the next election!

But with a car and the older set, it is really hard. There is just no
other way to get
around in this great country of ours. Yeah, everything is within walking
distance if
you have the time.
