Greg, I guess you are right again on the weather elements. Heck, I even do the work outside in the winter, because the younger guys complain about the cold. I do not keep my house cold in the summer, no air cond., winter never over 76 degrees. As for the physical, I can see no reason why a check up every two years should be all that bad. True it is not really a thorough check up, but it is better than nothing. Yeah, but you also need to be a lot more careful with your health than the 20-30 year old guys. And if you fall off that ladder, it's gonna hurt for more days. The real difference is you know how to work and don't mind it. Largely because you've seen the alternative. More experienced folks seem to revel in heat that knocks the kids to the floor. I don't know whether it's real physical changes or having lived in an era where air conditioning was found in movie theaters, but it certainly is the case. When I got down to Lynn Nelsen's house in central FL to meet N99387 for the first time, his dad, Les, was out mowing the lawn in the mid-day son. There he was, happy as a clam, driving the mower while wearing an olive-drab flight suit at 96 degrees and 90 percent humidity. I was afraid I might die from the heat, and then later was afraid that I might not. Shorts and all. Well, I think it may be physical, because I've always been pretty notorious for being a 'I hate heat' kind of guy. To my dismay, in the last couple of years, I've found that some conditions that I used to hate first became tolerable, then actually started to feel kinda good. Made my sore back limber up. Yeah. Kind of felt good. Better than it did this morning.... Uh oh.
