It is fair to say that you and I have agreed to disagree. You prosited a number, like 60, as a 'stop fly point.' Or at least, a 'look harder at medical aspects point.' An excellent philosophical point, but with political ramifications. I maintain that "What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander." That leads me to the proposition that all operators of mobility machines should fall under the same rules. Like the drivers get checked out, at their expense, every other year (up to age 40, then yearly). You know what would happen to any elected official that let that one get out into the press! I feel I am not asking for anything special for us flyers; just equal treatment. I will grant you that "knowing when to say when" is a failing on the parts of just about all us humans. Yes, we should keep an eye on ourselves. Yes, we should keep an eye on others if they do not keep an eye on themselves! But I advocate that it needs to be on an individual basis, rather than mandated. It has been a good discussion, though.
