Ed; I would have agreed with you last month. However, Ray Kane in
Stuart, FL, just had his 415-C converted with an O-200. He said the FAA
came out with a checklist, went over the aircraft, and declared it an E
model conversion. The paperwork has been sent to Univair for the new data
plate. As soon as Ray gets his copy of the 337 back from the IA, I will
make it available for all the Coupers.
Apparently, the split elevator and control modifications are the
key. I guess they are finally waking up as to how we can make the Coupe
safer to fly at the 1400 LB gross weight.
