I checked the Ercoupe accident database (1,048 Coupes some with more than
one accident/incident), and found the following accident and incident
reports:

Fuel exhaustion 13
Fuel line/Gascolator 8
Fuel pump failure 10
Fuel Caps 2
Primer 2
Plugged vent 1
Wrong fuel pump 2
Gauge 2
Bullet hole 1
Vapor lock (auto fuel) 1
Mixture (leaned by pilot) 2
Wing tank value off 1

There maybe others that didn't have the word "fuel" in them. It looks like

only 1.3 per 100 Coupe accident/incidents are caused by not having enough
fuel on the aircraft (which is 13 too many). The others are mechanical
failures or pilot failures for not monitoring the fuel situation. Most of

the pump failures shouldn't have caused an accident/incident. The
database only goes back to 1964 for US and Canadian accidents, but some
Lloyds' reports go to the 40's.
